I've been messing around a lot lately with AppleScript. Why? Because I like being bossy and controlling, and what better way to flex my dictatorial muscle than by ordering my computer to perform various actions using blunt and non-negotiable commands without so much as a "please" or "thank you." To see what this programming prose can do, I began developing developing solutions to all the "I wish I could..."s in OS X that I've built up over the years.
