Slightly more than 60,000 people attended the 2008 Virgin Mobile Festival , organizers announced today. That's down from roughly 70,000 last year. But the Virgin Fest folks are happy, publicist Audrey Schaefer wrote in an e-mail. "This number met our expectations and we're thrilled with the amazing response we've gotten to the festival, the memorable performances, and the entire experience," she wrote. "To see tens of thousands of people enjoy the show made it a blast for all of us." Held at Pimlico Race Course, this year's two-day festival featured an eclectic lineup of more than 40 performers, including Bob Dylan, Kanye West, Nine Inch Nails and the Foo Fighters.
