Arun Sarin steps down as CEO of Vodafone Arun Sarin has stepped down as the CEO of one of the largest mobile service providers in the World Vodafone. He said that the company’s investments in India are helping the company offsetting the falling revenues in primary European countries. Sarin added: “We feel positive about our business. I expect Europe to remain challenging but emerging markets to continue growing.” He further said that their Indian unit (Vodafone Essar) is growing rapidly. Sarin said: “We are investing a lot of money to build the business. Our revenues are growing 50 percent a year… You can look forward to receiving big cash flow dividend in the coming years.” India is one of the fastest growing mobile markets in the world and Vodafone acquired Hutch to get an Indian presence.
