Forget Hillary and the others who have made Obama's short-list of running mate possibilities. If he decides a female will help enhance his electoral hopes then Arianna Huffington should be high on the list, if not at the top. She is the Queen of the Left in the U.S. and she dominates the blogosphere and broadcast waves with her no-nonsense viewpoint. Unfortunately, she's foreign born but the rules should be changed anyway. Arianna media superstar and entrepreneur She is also a success story. She was born in Greece, immigrated with her family as a teenager to Britain and graduated with a masters from Cambridge in economics. She immigrated to the United States and married a California zillionaire. She encouraged and helped him become a Senator then embarked on her own journalistic/political career. She ran unsuccessfully against Arnold Schwarzenegger for the Republican gubernatorial nomination. Then she saw the light and left that party. She is now the most high profile and articulate voices for the "left" in the United States. She is one of the blogosphere's stars after founding and financing the Huffington Post , a pioneer in the new media and now the largest site in America. Her online publication, estimated to be worth US$200 million in just a handful of years, has more readers than do all of America's major newspapers combined.
