By Tracy Phillips As Seen on TV Comcast.net After months of speculation, HBO executives have confirmed a “ Sex and the City ” sequel is in the works. While there isn't an official deal yet, Michael Lombardo, HBO president of programming, told reporters at the TCA press tour, “There is enormous interest to do another ‘Sex and the City.’ In fact, they're trying to put that together now.” You knew it was coming, since the big-screen adventures of the Fab Four have pulled in $132 million so far. Says Lombardo, “Everybody associated with that project was really heartened by the enthusiasm from fans.” So what about a film revival of HBO’s other landmark series? HBO co-president Richard Plepler says of the chances for a “ Sopranos ” film: “If David Chase [the series creator] wants to do it, we'd be delighted to explore that, absolutely.” Read about Deadwood and more here . ...
