Back in March, Microsoft mentioned to Fortune that they were evaluating the Apple iPhone SDK. Many people interpreted this as though Microsoft would be developing a version of Office for the iPhone. Now that the iPhone's App store is opened, it's pretty clear that most of the applications you might have been hoping for are not there. However, one nice movie searching application called Box Office is there and that happens to have been developed by Cyrus Najmabadi of Microsoft (in his spare time). Box Office is very similar to the Movies section of Microsoft's Live Search Mobile in that you can search for nearby movie theaters and show times based on a GPS location, however it also shows movie ratings from Rotten Tomatoes .
