After 14 months on the job, Zeeland City Marketing Director Abby deRoo and the city’s “Feel the Zeel” marketing campaign are both taking on challenges. The city marketing job was conceived with a dual focus, said City Manager Tim Klunder. “The primary directive was to really make a concentrated effort to make known what this city has to offer, both locally and regionally, (but) a fairly significant portion of the job was to coordinate downtown efforts. It was never meant to be just a marketing position or just a downtown position,” he said.
