The Italian Grand Prix at Mugello saw Andrea Dovizioso fighting at the head of the field once more. A great start from 13th place on the grid and in just a few corners he took fifth position and tried not to lose the contact with Rossi, Stoner, Pedrosa and Capirossi. During the race both Dovizioso and Alex de Angelis came through the pack and the JiR Team Scot rider was then fighting with Loris Capirossi for seventh position. The fighting was spectacular and could have ended in Andrea being higher up the order, if it was not for a lack of grip towards the end of the race. Instead, Andrea went for the finish and some safe points, climbing one position to seventh in the World Championship rankings. ...
