Sports Forum ACC to Charlotte: Thanks for the hospitality The writer is the ACC's commissioner. Dear ACC Fans, I write to extend my appreciation to the City of Charlotte following this year's ACC men's basketball tournament. From March 13-16, the ACC and its member institutions enjoyed great hospitality while our teams competed in the 55th annual ACC tournament that ended with the crowning of North Carolina as this year's champion. We are extremely proud of the many individuals who were the pulse behind this year's event, including the Charlotte Bobcats Arena staff, the Charlotte Local Organizing Committee, the Charlotte Regional Sports Commission and the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority. These groups, along with the entire Charlotte community, all rallied around the tournament and devoted an incredible amount of energy to its success. I sincerely hope everyone enjoyed this year's games along with the many special events that surrounded the tournament.
