ABC News announced today that Ian Cameron, formerly a producer for World News with Charles Gibson , will be the new executive producer of This Week with George Stephanopoulos . Mr. Cameron replaces Kathy O'Hearn. In July, ABC announced that Ms. O'Hearn would be leaving the show to become a producer on the network's special events political team. The move comes at a critical time for This Week . With the future of NBC's Meet the Press , still somewhat up in the air , This Week now has an opportunity to try and recapture its long lost status as the top-rated Sunday morning public affairs show.
