The remaining teams have been drawn into the group stages (2 groups). Group A is considered the group of death which includes 5 time winners Ahly of Cairo, 5 time winners Zamalek of Cairo, 1 time winners and Ivory Coast giants ASEC, and Dynamos of Zimbabwe (who defeated the holders in the qualifying rounds). The other group features 2 time winners Enymbia of Nigeria, rising power Hilal of Sudan, Mazembe of Congo, and Cotonsport of Cameroon. The favorites to progess from group A are Ahly and Zamalek while from group B its Enymbia and Hilal. The winner of group A will face the runner up of group B in the semis and vice versa. Ahly and Zamalek will be fighting for the record number of African Champions League titles (tied at 5). The groups stages will begin this summer and title will be decided in late fall before the FIFA World Club Cup. ...
