This past January, nearly 600 people gathered at a nightclub in a Las Vegas hotel to watch as Orange County Choppers — one of the country’s best-known custom bike builders — unveiled its latest creation. Now, shoppers at Rowe Photo, Video and Audio in Rochester have an opportunity to see the “Klipsch Chopper” for themselves. The 10-foot long, 600-pound, custom-built motorcycle will be on display at Rowe’s Mt. Hope Avenue location until Oct. 20. Like every OCC chopper, the Klipsch bike is unique. It is copper and black — the signature colors of the legendary 62-year-old audio company — and has horn and woofer assemblies, an iPod dock as well as Klipsch logos on the air filter and black leather seat. “We customize theme bikes for lots of different companies, but this one is second to none,” said Paul Teutul Sr., co-founder of the family-run OCC. “It really incorporates Klipsch’s standards of high-performance, high-quality audio into a truly unique ride.” Teutul runs the New York-based company with his son. The choppers’ shop is featured weekly on “American Chopper,” a reality television show about custom motorcycle building that airs on The Learning Channel.
