Just this morning comes word of RIM's new BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220, the first-ever flip BlackBerry device, as well as the new Bold, the fastest Blackberry yet and the first from a U.S. carrier to have global 3G capabilities, including in Japan and Korea. The Flip is a quad-band EDGE based device that features two high-resolution color displays packaged in a compact "flip"-style smartphone. Messages, Web pages and videos are displayed on the large, 240 by 320-pixel internal LCD screen, while the external display allows users to preview incoming messages and calls without opening the handset.
